So we've got 4 songs almost done for the new EP... The last one we wrote is called Snowmen in the Sun. I wrote the lyrics in the car on my way to the dayjob this morning. The drums and bass were already tracked, so I just had to lay the vocals down. Only after tracking the vocals and listening back did I think how Canadian the lyrics were... The chorus goes like this:
"Snowman melts, turns to water.
Days we spend are getting hotter.
Throwing pebbles at a plastic ocean, making plastic waves with you."
I hate it when people call you and you don't call them back right away. Then you remember to call them and think to yourself "I'll call them when I get home today", but they've already called again leaving a message why you haven't called yet. I hate that. Now I've got a message on my machine to check, and I don't even want to listen to it, because it'll just be some BS about how they called before and were just wondering if I got their earlier message.
