Blue Mile?

Well, the Oilers are 2 games ahead of the Mighty Ducks in the Western Conference final... Wow. So far, the games have lacked the excitement of the first 2 series. Tonight it's a home game for the Oil and I'm sure the "Blue Mile" will be rockin.

Now, I have an issue with the term "blue mile." Calgary has a "Red Mile" and we essentially copied that formula and came up with our variation of it. I have a better suggestion.

How about "Whyte Avenue."

Since the name of the street is Whyte Avenue and white is part of our jersey colour, it only makes sense. But no, we need to complicate it. Think about the reputation Whyte Avenue would get if we just kept the name. It would be famous. Instead, we call it something else, so tourists have no clue that the Blue Mile is Whyte Ave.

Maybe it's just me.
