So I was laid off from my software company job at the end of June. There were a bunch of us and it came with no warning. Felt like a kick in the teeth.
Anyway, today I get called from that very same software company and they want to hire me again. Uh... hmmm... let me think...
Yeah, I'm gonna have to pass. Sorry "establishment", but it only takes one life-altering event to make me shy away from you and decide I'd rather take my chances in the self-employed department. If the money was, maybe double, then I'd consider it, but the whole time I'd be taking all I can get... pens, staplers, paper. You never know when the anvil will drop again!
And when you get re-hired after being laid off, does that make you laid on?

Seriously? They called you back??
You were right to turn them down Dan.
Personally I'd hump Yves to get back into the company, but that's just me.
Then again watching your latest video made me so randy I'd hump the mailbox right now!
Keep it real.
Yeah, I refused to go back unless the hired everyone that they laid off, with a 15% hiring bonus. They said they would hire everyone back except you and the other Scott, so I refused.
