Urban Lounge Gig Recap

Just got home... Eugie and I went to Denny's after the show. We want to thank everyone that braved the cold and came to have some fun. We had a great time!

Wheatmonkeys were great and even though a lot of people left after we played, Jets To Theory played a very solid set to the remaining die-hards! We stuck around till the end of course.

It sometimes sucks being the headliners on Wednesdays at Urban Lounge for that very reason... if people come to see the first or 2nd band, they likely won't stay past midnight to see the headliner. We've headlined many a show and played to only a handful of people, so tonight it was actually nice to have people on the floor in front of us singing along, etc...

Kevin the soundguy always treats us very well and so do the staff there. Looks like we made a believer out of one staffer who bought a CD and T-shirt... these guys see bands every night so they don't often actually buy merch.

I have pictures of the crowd and some select few folks... I'll post them in the morning after I get some shut-eye.

Thanks again to everyone for their support and it seems like a lot of you have already been looking toward the show at the Velvet on Dec. 16th... So if you missed us tonight, you'll have a chance within the month to come party with us one more time!

I wish I could say I was tired right now, but after 3 cups of joe, I'm wired. But I have to get some sleep before the little one wakes up likely in 4 hours or so... Ah the life of the part-time rock star/full-time father! I use the term rock star very loosely by the way. And father.

Cool about Eugie chatting with the Killswitch Engage guys today...

I wanna thank Paul at the Urban as well. Thanks for having us.

Peace!
