I finished my Xmas shopping today... we were at West Edmonton Mall until closing (9pm)... Normally I have no ideas, or very few, but this year I probably could've spent about $3000 if I wanted to on my wife alone!
I didn't of course, but it was tough to stick to our preset limit!
I think she thinks I got her an iPod for some reason... I didn't though.
Anyway, I guess I didn't let anyone know how the Sal Comp show went... it rocked! A few hundred kids rockin out with us... we signed autographs for a while afterward... the full rock star treatment. Very fun indeed. A VERY special thanks to Ally for tending to our merch table while we pretended to be rock stars for about an hour. :)
To the students of Sal, thanks for making us feel so welcome and making the most of the show. The energy in the room was great!
We should mention that this show was the grand prize in an Edmonton and area high school contest... The Kwantum Motivational Challenge SONIC FM sponsored it and our performance was the grand prize... we were also featured on Global News that evening at 6pm. So, thanks to Tim for hooking us up there... it was fun and thanks again.
Well, Merry Christmas. I mean it. If you're a friend of mine, I've been thinking about you this holiday season and am happy to have you as a friend. We don't get together nearly enough, but when we do, I appreciate it and you should know that you're never too far from my thoughts. If you're an aquaintance, sorry, maybe make more of an effort and you'll make "friend" status by next year, then I can have one more person to feel guilty about not seeing over the holidays.
