FOR IMMEDIATE ANNOUNCEMENT

The local portion of the 14th annual National Songwriting Competition, "Candian Radio Star," is now over, and our Regional Winner is MY SISTER OCEAN with their song "Searching For Something More." They now move on to the National Finals during Canadian Music Week in Toronto in early March, and they also get a bunch of cool gear.

ALL THE DETAILS are at Last year, TUPELO HONEY was our Regional Winner. Best of luck to the 2007 BEAR winners, MY SISTER OCEAN!

A huge thanks to everyone that voted, we could not have pulled this off without every bit of your support. Thanks also to the panel of judges that saw the strength in our song. The competition was very stiff and other bands (The Sessions, Keep 6, My Infinite Sadness, Dirty Habit) gave us a run for our money! Some great songs all around.

We'll be doing the guitar giveaway very soon. One of you will be winning a new guitar! And soon, we may be needing your votes for the national portion of the contest! So stay tuned!!

PS: If any of you want to read my original email about this contest, I described having a "feeling" about winning it this year, and how I made it to the station only 5 minutes before the deadline. Karma, fate, destiny... I dunno!
