Makes more sense than burning DVDs and taking them to another location or safety deposit box...
If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
There have been 3 devastating fires in the lives of people very close to me in the last 2 years - every time it happens I say "I need to backup everything I have off-site." Then I back up a few DVDs and life goes on... problem is I have an A/V business and need to backup several hundred GBs... It would take days to burn all the DVDs, and having an extra Terabyte harddrive or 2 for backups doesn't make sense since it's still in this location, so even my backups would burn in a fire.
Any tips? I've found some great ones online, but before I take a chance on any of them, I wanna hear some recommendations. Thanks!
These pics are from when the Arlington burnt down... my sister-in-law had just moved in 4 days earlier... luckily she had insurance, but her thesis was in there! Thankfully they recovered her harddrive despite water and smoke damage.
The other fires were my sister-in-law's boyfriend (he actually had 2 fires in 2 years - one minor one, and one that burnt his house down - he's an ex-boyfriend now but not because of the fires), and the one where my wife teaches... her high school library burnt down. YEESH!
