Xmas was good

we had a laid-back few days at my in-laws and even managed to get up to Athabasca on Boxing Day for a family event... i spent most of my xmas money on DVDs... i finally have all 4 volumes of futurama and family guy, and every released simpsons set except season 8... i somehow managed to miss that one and it was sold out at the few places i check, so that's next on the list...

some bad news in the family arena, this morning my wife's grandma went to the hospital with pneumonia... so, we're hoping it passes... we just visited her yesterday and she wasn't doing too well, but she was still just at home trying to get some rest... she's in her 80's, and pneumonia just took James Brown's life at the age of 73, so I'd say she's 50/50 right now... :(

I'm back to work as well... going out of town very very early on the 30th and coming back very late that evening if the roads are okay... i might end up spending the night in Lloydminster... New Year's Eve might just be a movie night at home this year I think.... with Shanda's grandma being ill and some other stuff that's been going on, we kind of feel like being hermits!

I also bought Run Lola Run on DVD cause it was only $7.99, and Shanda hadn't seen it yet, so I think we're gonna watch it later. It was parodied in an episode of the simpsons, so you know it's gotta be good!

Hey hey...

Don't take the James Brown gig too seriously...no one has any idea what went wrong there-he could have had asthma or diabetes, or hell....a wratched up liver as a result of his days as a rock and roll superstar...and all these things take a role in how a case of pneumonia plays out! Best thing you can do for your loved ones is be there for them and keep them close in your thoughts. Keep your head up and give lots of lovin to those 2 special ladies in your life...
