FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - MARCH 12th, 2007

Edmonton bass and drum duo MY SISTER OCEAN is pleased to announced their partnership with D2/Fontana North/Universal for the distribution of their upcoming CD entitled NUCULARBOY. The release date is June 19th, 2007. The 12 track disc released on Brass and Mud Records contains remastered material from their locally sold 2005 EP and 2006 CD, as well as 2 previously unreleased tracks (one of which was the winner of the Canadian Radiostar Songwriting Competition in Edmonton).

The first single, Able Day Fashion Show, has been delivered to radio across Canada and was immediately featured/added in several of the markets (Winnipeg, Moncton, Kitchener, Lethbridge, Lloyminster, Medicine Hat). A video for the song will be completed in May and delivered to MuchMusic and MTV Canada. Fans can request the song on their favourite local rock station. Adds are expected to increase steadily based on the initial positive reaction from music directors.

The band will be touring extensively in support of the new release, with anticipated dates at festivals across the country in the summer, as well as several coast-to-coast club shows starting in April.

"We're really excited to hit the road and start meeting our fans face-to-face," says the band's singer Holden Daniels. "We're so happy that D2 took a chance with us and will be distributing the CD nationwide too. We know so many of our fans are under 18 and don't have credit cards, so it's nice to know they can finally snag a disc at their local retailer."

A recent noteworthy showcase at Canadian Music Week in Toronto had the band getting face-time with some of the world's most renowned producers and record company execs, who displayed interest in working with the band. "As soon as we finished playing, there were music directors from several radio stations, a few agents, and label owners coming to talk to us," the band's drummer explains. "While you definitely have to take what industry people tell you with a grain of salt, we were thankfully able to get on people's radar and solidify relationships with some very powerful people. Only time will tell who we'll work with and in what capacity."

In addition to live club shows, the band will be doing in-store performances in retail music stores and playing all ages shows whenever possible. Plans also include performances in Australia, the UK, and the US before production on their next CD commences in 2008.
