Room 4-155 of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel

While Eug was in the can, I took this shot. No I wasn't watching "Whose design is it anyway?" I do like design shows though, just not that one.

Eugie brings spidey on every road trip. I thought he should make an appearance.

The temptation was there, but the prices were rediculous, so we opted for some pints in the Elephant & Castle down the street, and some scotch in the hotel basement bar.

Same thing with these things... The markup is rediculous. Man, that Toblerone Bar looks so good... I wish I was eating one right now....

Do the math... If we were to have eaten everything in the bar and snack basket, it would have probably been the same price as the room for one night. When the Radiostar people say all-expenses paid, they unfortunately don't mean this stuff.

On another note, I'm moving this weekend. Movin' on St. Patrick's Day. That's gotta be good luck. Weather is supposed to be nice. We got possession of the new place today... feels good! Now the real work starts!

On yet another note, I spent all this week working at Powersound Studios as a guinea pig for Phil Anderson's recording class. I think this was the 3rd or 4th time... Basically, he teaches a recording arts program and his students need bands to record so they can learn how to track and mix a band. This time, we were in the new location and it is awesome. Phil's got a world-class environment there. (Coincidentally, Phil mastered the new album) Anyway, we tracked another version of The Most. It was fun to re-track this song after we've played it so many times live. It's got a live feel and sounds pretty cool. Eug hasn't heard the extras that I added in the last few days, so I can't wait to get a mix and show everybody our little bonus version of the tune. I've taught off and on for Phil for years now. I've been away from working at Powersound for a while but I hope to spend more time there. Time just flies in a nice studio.

I've got video from our Toronto performance to upload one of these days. I also have the Joshua's Habit performance as well. It's only been a week since we were in Toronto and it feels like a weird blurry dream. We met so many people. Anyway, I've heard that the new single is getting played coast to coast. Not in heavy rotation yet, but people are playing it. From Victoria to Moncton. That's pretty cool - a first for me.
