My wife teached at Victoria School in Edmonton. It's an "arts" school. Anyway, apparently her classroom is okay so that's good! That said, all the books in the high school library are destroyed... That really sucks. Tomorrow she'll be going to find out some info and such, but no students will be going until the following day.
The funny thing is, we drove by the school today to see if we could see where the fire occurred, and there are so many windows boarded up and so much exterior wear and tear, that we couldn't see it right away! The main reason why we drove by was because no one said it was the igh school library, and her classroom is right above the elementary library, so had it been the other one, her classroom would've been destroyed. She brought a lot of her own books and supplies in so it's nice to know they're still okay.
Anyway, that was our excitement on Easter Weekend. Other than that, Eugie and I were interviewed yesterday at my place for a Nait school project (good luck Steve and Kim), and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend with my family. A rare event where we were able to all chill out for an entire day.
We watched A Good Year. Not bad for a chick flick. It being a wine themed movie, I was very thirsty throughout.
Have a good Monday night.
