This movie didn't do too well in theatres as far as I know. I can also see why it didn't do too well period. That said, I thought it had a great concept and I enjoyed it.
The idea is that there is now technology available where every moment of your life is recorded. Robin Williams plays a troubled "cutter", whose job it is to edit a person's life once they've passed on and provide a movie at their "re-memory" celebration.
His character is the best at what he does, and he's seen a lot of disgusting shit.
The pace was a little slow and I even found myself catching him "acting" sometimes, but just for the sheer commentary on society needing to take photos/video of everything, and how your actions may change if you knew someone was watching... for things like that I say check it out. It makes you wonder, what if I'd had an implant like this since birth... what wouldn't I want people to see.
For me, it was the time I watched the first 5 minutes of Gigli. Oh how I wish I could take that back! It was on Movie Central and I couldn't find the remote, honest!!
